March 2007

With the Resistance, for a Just Peace in the Middle East
International Conference, Chianciano Terme, Italy, March 24/25, 2007,

Final resolution:

Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon, Afghanistan
Support the Resistance!
Defeat the US empire, its European allies and its puppets in the Middle
East!

An historic battle is raging in the Middle East. Its outcome will determine
the future of the region and eventually also that of the entire humanity.

The imperialist offensive   led by the US and supported by the other
imperialist bandits and helped by their local satraps   began against
Afghanistan and culminated in the invasion of Iraq. Its task reaches far
beyond the consolidation of the traditional Western supremacy.

Rediscovering its genetic colonialist appetites imperialism is striving to
exercise direct and uncontested rule.

In this frame there is no space left neither for governments nor for nations
which refuse to subordinate to American imperial despotism.

Imperialism justified its aggressions by claiming to fight  terrorism  and
to  export democracy  mobilising by their chauvinist  clash of
civilisations  for a new crusade against Islam. But by  terrorism  they mean
any popular liberation movement and by democracy they mean their
camouflaged dictatorships which their nurture in the Arab countries servile
to them.

The aggressors, once they defeated the governments hostile to them in
Afghanistan and Iraq, stuck to the illusion that they had accomplished
victory.

But on the contrary they have stimulated steadfast armed resistance
movements which   gaining more and more popular support - not only inflicted
scattering defeats to the occupiers but foil all their geo-strategic plans.

The Iraqi Resistance, despite the hostility of the so-called  international
community , counting on its own resources has been playing a decisive role.
It not only laid the base for its future national liberation but also gave a
formidable push to all the other resistances of the oppressed people across
the world.

Therefore we condemn the official attempts to isolate the Iraqi Resistance
mounted by the Iraqi people. We call to circumvent these attempts and
recognise the Iraqi Resistance as the sole legitimate representative of the
Iraqi people!

It is not acceptable that, while Iran is under US war threat, Iran is
supporting the Maliki puppet government which together with the US
occupation continues to massacre the Resistance of the Iraqi people.

The battle cry of the Iraqi Resistance has given an additional push to the
heroic Palestinian people which after to decades of a relentless Intifada
even intensified its struggle chasing out the Zionists from Gaza and voting
for those forces who did not betray the historic goal of the total
liberation of Palestine.

The Zionist state, watchdog of imperialism, once again attacked and invaded
Lebanon violating international law. They hoped that they would be able to
change the relationship of forces in their favour. Instead they suffered a
devastating defeat. The Lebanese national Resistance spearheaded by
Hezbollah actually achieved a victory of historic and strategic importance
which heavily damaged the  New Middle East  designed by the US and Zionism.

We condemn all international attempts at disarming the Resistance in Lebanon
as a service to Israel and we condemn the American and French role to impede
a solution to the Lebanese internal problem by backing an unconstitutional
government not representing the people.

The US regime, still blinded by the hubris of their imperial claims,
responded by the radicalisation of their warmongering.

While in Afghanistan the NATO started a genocidal offensive against the
liberated zones, in Iraq the US has increased the occupation troops hoping
thus to be able to stop the advance of the Resistance pushing the puppet
government, and  to keep using the collaborationist militias to step up the
fratricidal conflict between the different components of the national
community.

In Lebanon, under the aegis of the notorious United Nations, the US and the
Zionists have sent France, Italy and Germany to deploy their troops hoping
to be able to involve them also there in their permanent plan to exterminate
the national Resistance and to bring Lebanon under their tutelage.

As long as the US and its allies do not withdraw their troops from the
Middle East, as long as they do not close their military bases, and as long
as they keep in place the Zionist entity ,there can be no peace in the
region. No people can give peace to its oppressors. A just peace will only
be possible with the victory of the liberation movements. In order to win,
the resistances need the concrete support of all the anti-imperialist and
democratic forces in the world but first of all they need to unify, to
co-ordinate, to join hand s in struggle. Its enemy is the same, so is their
aim.

All attempts to divide will be refused no matter from where they might come.

We will work hard to win the forces of the anti-war, anti-capitalist and
workers movement to fight the imperialist and Zionist occupation by mass
action and to push them towards an anti-imperialist position in full support
of the Resistance.

We strive to go along the path paved by the Resistances in Palestine,
Afghanistan, Iraq and Lebanon, giving its actual support to these struggles
and their unity. This unity will step by step by building a network of
anti-imperialist forces for common action open the possibility that the hope
of big parts of the oppressed people as well as the Resistance movements in
the South and the North, in the East and the West materialize: a united
international anti-imperialist alliance.

Down with the occupation   all foreign troops out!
Smash Zionism- for the complete liberation of Palestine!
Stop the permanent and pre-emptive war of the US empire   no to the war
threats against Iran and Syria!
Europe must end its support to the US aggressions!
Against UN sanctions on those not subordinating to the Western dictates!
With the Resistance towards an international anti-imperialist front!

Greetings to the Conference on behalf of the Antiglobalist Resistance

Dear comrades

“The Antiglobalist resistance” (Russia) cannot send a delegation to the Conference. So we take an occasion to express our friendly feelings to those who struggle against the occupation of Iraq and Afganistan, who opposes to the attempts of imperialism and militarism (the two characteristics of the now-a-day globalism) to provoke a new war in the Middle East. These are steps to the total chaos that will lead to the occupation of the whole world. We all – and everywhere – must do our best to prevent the global catastrophe by acting against the forces of the ‘new world order” in various regions of the Earth.

We send our greetings to the politicians, scientists and political activists that are going to hold speeches at the Conference. And we greet especially warmly Dr. Samir Amin, whose papers against eurocentrismus and globalization are highly estimated by anti-globalists, some of them are translated into Russian and we are ready to send books to Dr.Samir Amin.

Dear comrades,

On March 24 we traditionally celebrate the Day of the Antiglobalist resistance. On that same date 1999 the bombing of Yougoslavia by NATO caused vehement protests all over the world. Four years later people protested against the aggression in Iraq. Now the masses express their indignation against the occupation of Iraq and Afganistan, the war in Palestine, and campaign against Iran. We are sure that our solidarity will stop the aggressive “new world order” and will lead to the world of co-operation and mutual assistance that was designed in our Charter.

Long live solidarity of fighters against “the new world order”!

US out of Iraq, hands off Iran
by the Party of Labour of Iran (Toufan)

Editor's not: We do not believe that there is a strong rivalry
between the US and its European allies especially not on Iran. The
difference between the US and the EU is the same as between the US
neo-cons and US realists. It is a question of differences over how to
keep imperialist power best in place.

Stop the war!
No sanctions, no bombs against Iran

The US has, directly after its occupation of Iraq, been building up several military bases close to the Iranian border.

The US has made repeated demands on the Iranian government to accommodate to US policies concerning the  new American order . Replacement of the regimes in Iraq, North Korea and Iran is, and has been, part of the Bush doctrine. Right now, as the US has failed in Iraq, its war-mongering against Iran is on the increase. The US has now dispatched two aircraft carriers to the Gulf of Persia and placed 50 warships just off the Iranian coast. The US accuses Iran of possessing nuclear arms or of aiming at producing them. This is the hysterical US propaganda against Iran, in spite of the fact that all inspectors have declared that Iran has got no nuclear arms; those statements, however, don t suffice for G.W. Bush. According to what the US dictates, independent nations have no right to develop peaceful nuclear power for civil use. The US dictate does not concern Israel, which is a nuclear power in the Middle East. Nor does it apply to Pakistan, or India, et al. What is being said, is that the Tehran regime must obey the US on the Palestine/Israel conflict; must not oppose US policies in the Persian Gulf on matters concerning oil; must accommodate entirely to the IMF and the World Bank, etc. In short, Iran must unconditionally align itself with the US in the rivalry of the latter with the EU, Japan, and China. Can this be realized without any military intervention? Yes, that alternative might be possible. The capitalist clergy regime in Tehran has the character of selling out to the US for the sake of power. All factions within the Tehran regime have shown marked tendencies of compromise with the US. Examples of this are that the Islamic regime, during bombardments of Iraq and Afghanistan, has been collaborating with  the alliance Britain-US  and, according to its own statement,  the US wouldn t succeed in Iraq and Afghanistan without help from Iran .

Iran was one of the first states to recognize the stooge regime in Baghdad. The Tehran regime has from the very beginning been acting against the resistance movement in Iraq, and has been close to the US line, while yet being accused of responsibility for the US failure in Iraq.

An invasion of Iran is, given the situation of huge US problems in Iraq and internationally, unlikely to occur. Nevertheless, the war-mongering is dangerously similar to the war-mongering that proceeded the invasion of Iraq. If it is not possible, in the end, to change the Iranian regime in favour of US desires, it might finally lead to a military action against Iran. The US doesn t care about the form or medieval character of the Iranian regime. History has shown that the US may collaborate with any kind of Satan to realize its aims and goals. Decisive to the Bush administration is that Iran chooses a pro-US line like Kuwait, Bahrain, Turkey, Qatar et al. The possible intrusion of US imperialism into Iran is of the same nature as its intrusion into Iraq, Afghanistan, Yugoslavia and other countries, and must be condemned. The US has its imperialist political, economical and strategic interests, and no thinking person should believe that US meddling into Iranian affairs has anything to do with democracy, freedom or justice. That is nothing but sheer imperialist propaganda. The people of Iran can, by its own might, overthrow the reactionary theocratic regime and build a free and democratic society without the  aid  of imperialism. Iranians are never going to forget the 1953 event, when Prime Minister Mosadegh was overthrown by a joint US-British action following his nationalization of the oil industry. The Shah was reinstated, oppression and terror became everyday features, and the democracy movement was drowned in blood. One should not be blinded by the terror regime in Iran to forget about the colonial and barbaric aims of US imperialism.

US out of Iraq - immediately and unconditionally!
No sanctions, no bombs against Iran!

October 2006

Anti-imperialist groups are going to held a conference in Rome in 2007

The Declaration of organizers

It seems to be a step back into the colonial past. The map of the Middle
East is increasingly marked in the colours of occupation troops. Troops of
different countries, with or without a mandate of the United Nations, but
always corresponding to one single design the design of the so-called New
Middle East envisaged by Washington in close alliance with Israel.

Different pretexts have been put forward in order to justify the invasion of
Iraq, to continue the massacre against the Palestinian people, to attack
Lebanon. But behind all this is the will to control the entire region, to
loot its resources, to impede any autonomous development, to subjugate the
people denying them their rights, to impose Western civilisation as the only
one worth to exist which one has to accept willingly or by force.

The ongoing blood bath caused by the American and Israeli wars, the
systematic use of torture against prisoners, the indiscriminate bombing of
civilian populations, the use of weapons of mass destruction (as
demonstrated in Falluja) heralds a future of war and oppression which cannot
be accepted by any human being.

Fortunately, important movements resisting these bleak prospective have
emerged and put a brake to the imperialist offensive. The US is bogged down
in Iraq by the resistance. In Palestine the resistance has scored a
political victory and in Lebanon the Israeli military offensive was
repealed.

Thanks to these resistance movements there is still hope to stop the war of
civilisations waged by the United States and its allies Israel and NATO.

The Western propaganda calls war peace and labels any resistance terrorist
like the Nazis did with the guerrilla movements. It is a serious problem
that the liberation forces are still denied international political
legitimacy.

One year ago the Italian government forestalled the International Conference
scheduled in Chianciano close to Rome, denying visas to Iraqi
representatives including even Haj Ali, the prisoner of Abu Ghraib who
became a global symbol of torture.

Only dialogue can defeat the logic of the clash of civilisations. To achieve
a just peace we must listen and recognise the arguments of the resistance.
This requires the democratic right to free expression which so far has been
negated under the guise of the  war on terror .

We have to fight for the full political recognition of the Iraqi and
Lebanese resistance movements and we have to step up our support for the
Palestinian cause, for the end of the Zionist occupation, for the defeat of
Israeli colonialism which is the most reliable and most aggressive ally of
the infinite US war and which controls an enormous arsenal of nuclear arms,
demonstrating the double standards of the West.

We, the undersigned, responding also to the renewed interest expressed by
different sectors of the Iraqi, Lebanese and Palestinian resistance,
therefore call for another international conference, in early 2007 in Italy.
The task of the conference is to re-launch the movement against the war, to
affirm the idea of a peace based on the right to self-determination of the
people, to give political support to whomever fights to liberate his country
from foreign occupation.

Recognise and support the Resistance!
End the hunger embargo, recognise and support the Palestinian government!
For the unity of all anti-occupation forces , for a free and united Iraq!
All foreign troops out of Lebanon!
Against U.S. and Israeli hegemony in the Middle East, for the victory of the
Arab people!
Let s unite the voices of the anti-war movement and the resistance in the
liberation struggle against war and imperialist oppression!

1) With the Resistance, for a Just Peace in the Middle East
International Conference

Chianciano Terme, Province of Siena, Tuscany, Italy
Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 March, 2007

The national assembly of the promoting forces, which met last Sunday in
Florence, decided to finally convene the international conference:  Against
the Occupation, with the Resistance   with a Just Peace in Iraq, Lebanon and
Palestine .

After the struggle of 2005, when the Italian government impeded the
conference on order of the US, after the success of the campaign for the
visas which seem to be granted this time, and with the renewed interest of
different sectors of the Arab Resistance movement time has come to hold this
important international convention.

On March 24/25 a wide range of Iraqi, Palestinian and Lebanese
representatives (and other Arab countries) will unite. In this way we want
to lend those a voice also on European soil who resist the imperialist
aggressions. It will be the first time that such a conference is being held
in Europe.

It will be an occasion to strengthen the solidarity of the anti-war movement
with the peoples who are victims of this war of aggression led by the US. At
the same time it will offer the possibility to better understand the
situation in Iraq, Palestine and Lebanon by listening to the experiences of
whose who resist and who are silenced by the corporate media.

In the near future we will publish the programme of the conference  as well
as the modalities of inscription and participation.
